Setting Expectations
Boundaries are key to a smooth design process! I’m here to offer thoughtful advice and creative solutions, but it's important to clarify what my virtual services do and don’t include. Here’s what to expect so we can keep everything on track for your designed space!
-
Once the final design is approved, we lock it in! Small tweaks are welcome as add-ons, but major changes may require a new package.
-
Your shopping list is a guide—you have full control over purchases. If an item exceeds budget, I’ll confirm with you before moving forward.
-
Your package includes a curated shopping list, but if you need help finding extra or unique pieces, sourcing services can be added.
-
Once the design is finalized, further revisions aren’t included. Any post-approval changes can be made as add-ons if needed.
-
I can style porches and patios, but full landscaping and garden planning aren’t included. For large-scale outdoor projects, a landscape specialist is best.
-
All design work (visuals, mood boards, shopping lists) will be delivered within the agreed-upon timeframe. To keep things on track, please provide all necessary info (photos, measurements, etc.) promptly. If deadlines aren’t met, a fee will apply for the additional time needed.
-
I’ll provide updates and communicate via email or the agreed platform. Timely feedback is appreciated to keep your project on track. For design support on second-hand sourcing, furniture confirmation, or quick questions, texting is allowed within set boundaries.
What I will need from you.
For each design package, I'll need a few key things from you to get started. This ensures I create the best design for your space and that we’re aligned on your vision. Once you select your package, I’ll walk you through everything .
-
I’ll need clear photos of the room(s) we’re working on. Make sure to capture the full space, including any furniture or items you’d like to keep, along with any walls, windows, or unique architectural features.
-
Accurate measurements are crucial. Include the dimensions of your walls, windows, doorways, and any furniture that will stay. If you have a floor plan, feel free to share it!
-
If you’ve been collecting Pinterest boards or any other design inspiration, send it over! The more I know about your style, the better I can tailor the design to fit your taste.
-
For shopping lists or any sourcing, I’ll need to know your budget range. This helps me suggest pieces that fit your price point.
-
Let me know what’s a must-have for your space (e.g., a large comfy sectional or a statement art piece) or anything you’d like to avoid (like bold patterns or a particular color).
-
If you have a specific timeline in mind, whether it’s for a seasonal refresh, an event, or a move-in date, let me know. This helps me prioritize and plan the design work without any stress.
-
Let me know if there are any specific issues or challenges you're facing with your space. Whether it's awkward layouts, storage struggles, or creating flow, sharing these concerns helps me create practical solutions tailored to your needs.
