ALL THE THINGS YOU COULD POSSIBLY WANT TO KNOW

Frequently asked questions

  • Virtual design is a remote interior design service where I create a custom plan for your space, including mood boards, layouts, and shopping lists. You’ll receive everything you need to execute the design at your own pace.

  • Each package is designed to fit different needs, from simple refreshes to full transformations. If you’re unsure, reach out! I’m happy to help you choose the best fit for your space and goals.

  • My services are entirely virtual, allowing me to work with you no matter where you're located while keeping the process flexible and efficient. If you're local to the Raleigh area, you can add styling support or in-person assistance to help finish off your space. Additional consultations are also available as an extra service.

  • If your package includes a curated shopping list, you’ll receive direct links to recommended products, making shopping effortless. The list will cover major furniture, light fixtures, rugs, curtains, and larger décor items. Smaller decorative pieces may be included if they enhance the design, but not every item will be shopable. Instead, you’ll get guidance on incorporating personal touches into your space.

  • No problem! I can work with your existing pieces and incorporate them into the design. Just let me know upfront what items you’d like to keep, and I’ll make sure they fit seamlessly into your space.

  • Once the final design is approved, the look and feel are locked in. Revisions to shopping lists, layouts, or visuals aren’t included after final approval, but you can always add a revision as an extra service if needed!

  • Timelines vary based on the package you choose. Smaller design services typically take about a week, while more in-depth packages can take a few weeks. I’ll give you a clear timeline at the start so you know what to expect!

  • Pricing applies to a single space up to 400 sq. ft. Rooms are defined by function, not walls—meaning if you have a bonus room that also serves as an office, it would count as two separate rooms and require two separate packages, even if the total area is under 400 sq. ft.

How Much Should I Budget for Furniture & Decor?

The cost of furnishing your space depends on the vendors you choose and how much you're replacing. A full refresh with budget-friendly retailers (like Wayfair, Target, or Amazon) typically starts around $4,000–$7,000, while higher-end brands (such as Pottery Barn or Crate & Barrel) can range from $8,000–$15,000+ per room.

Here’s a general estimate for furnishing a standard space:

Budget-Friendly Options:

  • Living Room: $7,000

  • Bedroom: $5,000

  • Dining Room: $5,000

  • Home Office: $4,000

  • Nursery: $5,000

Higher-End Name Brands:

  • Living Room: $15,000

  • Bedroom: $12,000

  • Dining Room: $10,000

  • Home Office: $8,000

  • Nursery: $10,000

These numbers can fluctuate based on your style preferences, must-have pieces, and whether you're keeping any existing furniture. Need help staying within budget? I can guide you in making the best choices for your space!
